Embed a Free VehCalc Car Calculator on Your Website or Blog (No Signup)

Copy one iframe line, paste it into any WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, or custom HTML page β€” and your readers get a fully functional car calculator with live math, 2026 rates, and the same 50-state data our own 800k+ yearly users rely on. Zero ads inside the widget, zero analytics, zero tracking of your audience.

Built for auto dealership finance departments that need a clean, compliant-looking payment tool on their inventory pages; for personal-finance bloggers writing posts like "How to Save $150/Month on Your Next Car Loan" and needing an interactive calculator to rank on Google; for auto finance writers pitching a column on 2026 EV tax credits that includes a live subsidy estimator; and for credit union & community bank pages that want a pre-built calculator without engineering effort. The widget loads in an iframe sandbox, so it can never read or touch anything on your page β€” and it always points back to VehCalc's canonical embed URL, so we handle the monthly 2026 rate and tax updates for you.

The sandbox="allow-scripts allow-same-origin" attribute is a security best practice that prevents the widget from accessing anything on your page (cookies, forms, local storage). Loading="lazy" only renders the widget once it is near the viewport, so page speed is not affected for above-the-fold content. Referrer-policy limits what your domain sends to third-party sites.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Β· Widget Embed

Is the widget really free for commercial use?
Yes β€” the widget is free for any use, including commercial dealership sites, paid-subscription blogs, affiliate finance sites, bank and credit union branches, and government consumer-resource pages. The only requirement inside the iframe is the tiny 12-px "Powered by VehCalc.com β†’" link in the bottom-right corner of the widget itself. You do not need to credit VehCalc anywhere on your host page, though links back are always appreciated.
Do the widget calculators load ads or tracking on my site?
No. The widget embed (widget-embed.html) deliberately ships with zero AdSense, zero GA4, zero third-party pixels, and zero cookies. It loads from our canonical URL, so the widget itself never renders ads even if the full VehCalc page version of the same calculator does. If your site is GDPR or CCPA-covered, you should still list "iframed third-party content" in your privacy notice, but there is nothing in the widget that would independently trigger consent-modal needs.
How often are the numbers and tax rates inside the widget updated?
All widget calculators draw from the same live 50-state US_STATES_DATA array and 2026 Experian rate tiers as the full VehCalc pages. We push a full refresh the week of July 1 each year (after most states roll their fiscal-year fee schedules) and a mid-cycle scrub the last week of January. Auto loan APRs are updated to match the latest Experian State of the Automotive Finance Market release every quarter. Because you embed our canonical URL via iframe, you get these updates automatically β€” you never need to change the embed code.
Can I change the default values in the widget?
Yes β€” for most widgets. Any parameter you can adjust from inside the widget can also be pre-set in the iframe URL as a query string. For example: widget-embed.html?tool=auto-loan&theme=blue&price=45000&term=72&apr=7.5&down=5000 pre-fills a $45k car, 72 months, 7.5% APR, $5k down. Full parameter lists for each of the 6 calculators are in the Widget Docs (email team@vehcalc.com for the current sheet). The widget always lets the end user override any value.
Will the widget slow down my website?
No. The widget file (widget-embed.html) is deliberately kept under 16 KB β€” smaller than most images on a blog post. The iframe uses loading="lazy" by default in the embed code we provide, so the browser does not download the widget at all until a reader scrolls near it (no effect on your LCP or Core Web Vitals for above-the-fold content). The CSS inside the widget is self-contained, so there is no risk of style leakage or conflicts with your own CSS, which is the #1 cause of "widget breaks my site" complaints from other calculator providers.
How do I embed this into WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix?
On WordPress: use a "Custom HTML" block in the Gutenberg editor or paste into a "HTML" widget in the Classic editor / Elementor HTML widget. On Squarespace: add a "Code Block" and paste the iframe snippet; make sure "Display Source" is disabled. On Wix: use "Embed Site" β†’ "Code" β†’ paste the iframe. On Shopify: paste into a Custom Liquid section or theme file. On any static site: paste the HTML into your blog post template. If your CMS strips iframes, contact your admin or use a shortcode plugin that whitelists iframe elements.
Can I make the widget shorter or taller for my layout?
Absolutely. Change the height attribute in the iframe tag (the default is 720px). Recommended minimum heights: Auto Loan 620px, Lease 680px, EV Tax Credit 520px, TCO 760px, Fuel Cost 480px, Bad Credit 620px. The width should stay at 100% so the widget adapts to your column. If you want scrollbars hidden, add scrolling="no" and size the height generously β€” but we do not recommend hiding scroll on mobile because user fingers expect scrolling, and the widget uses a modern mobile-first layout under 640px anyway.
Can I remove the "Powered by VehCalc" link?
The free version ships with the tiny "Powered by VehCalc.com β†’" attribution. To remove it, apply your own branding, add your dealership APR tiers, or receive a white-labeled version on your own subdomain (like calc.yourdealership.com), email team@vehcalc.com for a custom quote. White-label pricing is based on monthly widget impressions and starts at $29/month for dealerships under 250k page views / year. Bloggers under 50k PV/yr can request a complimentary attribution removal via the same email β€” tell us about your site.
